BEAUTY AND THE BEAST THEMED CEREMONY SCRIPT EXAMPLE

I officiated a Beauty and the Beast themed vow renewal where the couple asked me to create a custom ceremony inspired by their love and their Beauty and the Beast theme. I incorporated sayings from the movie and phrases from the songs in the movie into the ceremony script and the vows. It made for a very meaningful vow renewal ceremony for the couple which complemented the reception decorated in Beauty and the Beast colors and decorations. Their guests noticed the references to the movie and the bride and groom received complements all night about their ceremony. One family member loved it so much they want to frame the ceremony script for the couple!

Below is the Beauty and the Beast inspired wedding vow ceremony script I created for this beautiful couple, Raymond and Nicole.

Beauty and The Beast Inspired Vow Renewal Ceremony

Aloha and welcome Raymond, Nicole, family and friends. Raymond and Nicole have invited everyone here to be their guest and share in their tale as old as time. They would like to thank you all for your love and support and are grateful you’re here to share in their special day.

Raymond and Nicole please face each other, join hands, and look into each other’s eyes….

Every beauty needs her beast to protect her from everything else but him. Raymond and Nicole, twelve years ago today your fairytale began when you discovered something there that wasn’t there before and fell in love. Seven years ago today you united your hearts and lives in marriage. Love doesn’t need to be perfect, it just needs to be true. After twelve years of adventures together, your love has proved strong and true and today we are here to celebrate and reaffirm your marriage vows and eternal love for one another.

As you have journeyed together through life the past 12 years as a married couple you have experienced that even in fairytales, life is often challenging, maybe some moments not so perfect, maybe some memories not so sweet. But because we have love, life, even amidst pain and struggle becomes beautiful. As Belle said to the Beast “You’ll be alright. Were together now. Everything is going to be fine, you’ll see.” Through the darkest of our troubles, love is beauty, love is pure. Love pays no mind to desolation. It flows like a river through the soul. Protects, persists, and perserveers and makes us whole.

Raymond and Nicole, today you are here to reaffirm your choosing each other and your love for one another. You are choosing each other to be your constant companion, your confidant, your best friend, your lover, and your soul mate. You’ve chosen to be with someone who enhances you, makes you smile, and makes every day brighter.

Today you are once again promising to share life together, to be a team, to care for each other, to support each other, to be faithful to each other, and to be there for each other. Raymond and Nicole, do you vow to continue to keep these promises to one another?

May I please have the rings?

Raymond and Nicole, your wedding ring is a circle, it has no beginning or ending therefore, it is a symbol of eternity. Your wedding ring is an outward sign of an inward bond which unites your two hearts in endless love. They are a constant reminder and a celebration of the promises you have made today and in exchanging these rings you once again join your two lives together.

Raymond please place the ring you have for Nicole on her finger and repeat after me:

Raymond and Nicole, in the presence of your family and friends you have reaffirmed your commitment to one another and your intentions for your life in love together. In recognition of these vows, and by my authority as officiant, I once again pronounce you husband and wife. Raymond, you may kiss your beauty.
